About Evik Diagnostics
Evik Diagnostics is the company behind EVIK™ DxSpheres. With 15 years of expertise in diagnostic assay development, assay formulation, and freeze-drying bead technology, we bring a depth of specialist knowledge reflected in every product we develop.
Our core business is Lyobeads contract development and manufacturing — partnering with diagnostic manufacturers, IVD developers, and life science companies to develop, formulate, and manufacture custom Lyobead solutions to their exact specifications.
EVIK™ preformulated Lyobeads is a separate business vertical: a range of ready-to-use, customizable products available off the shelf. Same expertise. Two distinct ways to access it.

EVIK™ DxSpheres
Preformulated freeze-dried reagent beads for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assay development and manufacturing. EVIK™ DxSpheres bring together Evik Diagnostics' deep experience in diagnostic assay formulation and freeze-dried bead technology to deliver reagents that are shelf-stable, precisely dosed, durable and ready to use—without the complexity of liquid handling or cold chain dependence.
EVIK™ LyoPearl
A new EVIK™ product line bringing preformulated freeze-dried bead technology to cosmetic and skincare applications. EVIK™ LyoPearl will offer cosmetic-grade lyophilized active ingredients in precise bead format—the same shelf-stable, ready-to-use performance as EVIK™ DxSpheres, optimised for cosmetic formulation and production.

EVIK™ Excipient Selection Plates are 96-well plates pre-filled with lyophilized (freeze-dried) excipients curated to support stabilization and lyophilization of molecular diagnostic assay components.
Designed for rapid, reproducible assay compatibility screening for use with various laboratory assays including: CRISPR, LAMP, RPA, PCR, Ag/Ab and protein.
EVIK™ Excipient Selection Plates are ready to use – simply reconstitute each well with 20 µL of reagent and run in a standard thermal cycler.
Custom plate configurations and excipient combinations or ratios are available upon request. Options to screen buffers (pH 5–7), stabilizers, and surfactants in a full factorial design are also available in custom plate formats. What are EVIK™ Lyobeads?

EVIK™ Lyobeads are preformulated freeze-dried beads — precisely dosed, shelf-stable, durable, spherical beads formed from assay reagents. They're ready to use straight from the vial, plate, or device.
Unlike liquid reagents requiring cold storage, careful handling, and on-site preparation, EVIK™ Lyobeads arrive formulated, freeze-dried, and ready to perform. Each Lyobead is a complete, ambient temperature stable self-contained unit of reagent — formulated with the right excipients, dispensed to a precise volume, and lyophilized under controlled conditions.
Evik Diagnostics provides Lyobeads contract development and manufacturing services in an ISO 13485 facility (Ottawa, Canada) for diagnostic manufacturers and life science companies.
