Note on the spec table: the client's table did not carry a Status row, unlike the other four product pages. I have added it for consistency, since the page states elsewhere that the product is for research and evaluation only. Remove it if the client prefers.

How to Use

1. Dissolve. Place one bead directly onto clean, damp skin or onto a few drops of water or skincare serum in the palm of the hand.
2. Apply. Gently rub the dissolved bead into the skin until fully absorbed.
3. Store. After each use, close the vial cap tightly and return the vial to its desiccant pouch. Keep at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight.

Formulation Chemistry

L-ascorbic acid is a weak diprotic acid (pKa1 4.17). On dissolution in water the bead produces a mildly acidic solution consistent with the pH range at which ascorbic acid is most stable and demonstrates optimal skin permeation (pH 2.5–3.5; Pinnell et al., 2001). The sodium hyaluronate co-active provides an aqueous humectant matrix on dissolution that may support ascorbic acid skin residence time.

The current EVIK™ LyoPearl Ascorbic Acid formula does not include ferulic acid or tocopherol. The literature establishes that ferulic acid provides synergistic photoprotection and stability enhancement for ascorbic acid formulations (Lin et al., 2005). Custom formulations incorporating ferulic acid, tocopherol, or additional co-actives are available through Evik Diagnostics.

Bead colour should be white to off-white. Any yellowing or browning indicates oxidation. Store with desiccant and discard oxidised beads.
